Ghost Hunting

On Wednesday nights almost religiously I watch Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi. And I enjoy both incarnations: Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International. I believe in spirits and ghosts. And I believe that they can interact with the living. And I believe so because of the creepy evidence I see every week on the show. Which is why I try and avoid haunted places at all times. When I used to visit Samantha at Lehigh I would specifically ask the Hotel Bethlehem not to put me in any of their haunted rooms. The Hotel Bethehem hotel has 3 separate entities purported to haunt the property. I enjoy ghosts on television, but I have no desire to actually see one in person.
Last Tuesday while I was writing a new post, all of a sudden I felt nauseated and lightheaded. I hoped that the middle ear infection I had 2 years ago hadn’t returned. But I also remembered that nausea can accompany paranormal experiences. It’s a physiological response to high EMFs (electromagnetic field) given off by entities. And then Cosmo, my goldendoodle, started freaking out and barking and turning in circles. It is said that dogs can feel and see spirits. And then the floor started vibrating and I heard noises coming from upstairs. But I knew no one was up there. And when I went into the kitchen, my kitchen door was swinging  all on its own—just like in Ghost Hunters. And now I was legit scared. There was an entity trying to make contact with me. I just knew it. And Cosmo knew it too. And so I ran back into the family room with Cosmo at my side (Jasper could have cared less about all this—he barely picked his head up).
And as my heart raced and I tried to regroup after my paranormal experience the phone rang. It was Briana. Her building had been evacuated. And she said Mom I think we just had an earthquake. Go put on News 12 and see. Yep. A  5.7 on the Richter scale. All that experiential evidence also pointed to an earthquake.  There were no ghosts at my house—at least for today. Ghost hunting aborted—evidence debunked.
